UNHEATED BURMESE PIGEON'S BLOOD RUBY AND DIAMOND NECKLACE AND PENDENT EARRINGS

Composed of twenty-six graduating oval and cushion-shaped rubies, each spaced by a cluster of marquise-shaped diamonds, accompanied by a pendant set with a cushion-shaped ruby, framed by pear-shaped diamonds, completed at the back by marquise-shaped diamond links, accented by an oval ruby, length approximately 405mm, pendant detachable; and pair of matching earrings; the rubies and diamonds altogether weighing approximately 75.56 and 32.50 carats respectively; mounted in 18 karat white and yellow gold. Accompanied by Gübelin report numbered 1012237/1 and 1012237/2, dated 6 January 2011, stating that the rubies are natural, of Burmese (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating; also accompanied by GRS report numbered GRS2011-012845 (Award No 636), dated 26 January 2010, stating that the rubies are natural, of Burmese (Mogok, Myanmar) origin, Vivid Red colour (GRS type "Pigeon's Blood"), with no indication of thermal treatment, and special comment "Extremely rare set of magnificent rubies of excellent colour 'Pigeon's Blood', good brilliancy and transparency, and spared of thermal enhancement."
